PROTOCOL

Medical Disclaimer

Version 0.2 · Effective June 29, 2026

Protocol is not medical advice. It is a personal tracking tool — not a medical device, not a substitute for a doctor, pharmacist, or any clinician, and not reviewed or approved by the FDA or any regulator.

Protocol is a notebook, not an advisor.

  • It does not tell you what to take, how much, or when.
  • It does not recommend, prescribe, diagnose, monitor, or interpret anything.
  • It does not know your medical history and does not evaluate whether anything you log is safe for you.
  • Reminders and numbers you see reflect choices you already made — they are not instructions from us.

You are the only person making decisions. Anything you record is something you decided on your own or with your own clinician.

People use Protocol to track many kinds of things — for example, hormone therapies, weight-management medications, peptides, supplements, fitness routines, nutrition, and body weight, among others. These are just examples of what someone might track. They are not what Protocol is "for."

For anything prescribed to you: decisions about starting, stopping, dosing, or changing a therapy must be made with the licensed prescriber who knows your history and labs. Do not change your dose, timing, schedule, or anything else based on what Protocol shows.

Exercise: if you haven't exercised recently, are over 40, are pregnant, are recovering from injury, or have a cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, or metabolic condition, talk to your physician before starting a new program. Stop and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, dizziness, severe shortness of breath, or injury.

Nutrition & weight: macro targets, calorie estimates, and trend lines are estimates from general formulas. They may be wrong for your body and aren't validated against clinical standards. Don't rely on them in place of professional guidance — especially with a history of disordered eating, diabetes, or kidney/liver disease.

We don't validate the app's calculations. Protocol is software, and software has bugs. If a number surprises you, check it yourself or with a clinician.

In an emergency: stop using Protocol and call your local emergency number immediately (911 in the US). Protocol does not detect emergencies or summon help.

Your data: everything stays on your device. If you export a record to share with your clinician or coach, that's your choice — the export reflects exactly what you entered, and we don't verify its accuracy.
